This event commemorates the prayers offered during the World War I by the women of the village — mothers, wives and sisters — who gathered in front of the Oratorio della Madonna del Mogio to pray for the safe return of the soldiers. They vowed that, should their prayers be answered, every year on 24 May they would gather again with the townspeople to pray and celebrate together.
The 101st edition of the festival is marked by a procession departing from the Oratory along Via Roma, accompanied by the Banda dei Carrettieri.
